Crane Yuzuriha

CV: Suzaki Aya

Rating: A

Role: Support Queen, Intangible Movements

Story

Yuzuriha entered the realm of shadows where she began communing with the shadows. She learned how to be one with the shadow, coming and going as she wished, making it easy for her to fend off enemy attacks. To her, they’re but batting the air. “They'll never see me coming.” She launches deadly attacks at her enemies from where light and shadow intertwine. In the end, all is still, and Yuzuriha seems to not have moved, making it seem as if there never were a battle in the first place.

Skill Analysis

Lotus Feather Attack: Basic attack, 0 cost

Deals 50% (55%/60%/65%/70%) P.DMG to 1 enemy.

Crane Steps: Damage, 2 cost

Attacks 1 enemy two times, each attack dealing 60% (65%/70%/75%/80%) P.DMG. If she inflicts a crit, she has a 52% chance to inflict an extra hidden-weapon Lotus Feather Attack (every crit has a chance to trigger an extra attack) after the two first attacks.

Tip: Can perform 4 attacks in one go, good damage.

Passive skill - Crane Combo: Buff, 0 cost

When friendly units spend energy to attack enemies, Yuzuriha has a 48% (52%/56%/60%/64%) chance to launch an extra Crane Steps attack at the same target free of cost (if the target is killed, Crane Steps will target a random enemy).

Tip: This is Yuzuriha's core skill, and what makes her an A-class Saint.

Analysis

Yuzuriha is an all-round Saint. All she has to do is use skills to assist in battle, and their chance to trigger are fairly high. Triggering her skills by taking multiple actions is the best way to make her shine.

Cosmo

Red: Physical Stone (P.ATK & P.DEF)

Yellow: Bloom (HP & C.DEF)

Blue: Staunch (Crit Level)

Yuzuriha’s skills are very dependent on crits, which makes Staunch a must. Physical Stone and Bloom enhances your tankiness and attack power.

Special Cosmo: Silver Dragon (attacks have a 25% chance to deal extra damage equal to 4% of the target’s Max HP)

Yuzuriha has pretty high crit chance, and her multiple attacks make Silver Dragon a perfect match.

Lineup

The restrictions of Yuzuriha’s passive make Saints with the two following traits a good match for her:

1.1. Low energy consumption,

2.2. Multiple attacks.

Which makes Sextans Luna her most suitable partner, as she buffs a friendly unit, making it able to act twice. Pair her with other low-cost Saints like Xiaoling and Shaina.

For PvP, a lineup with powerful attack Saints is recommended, for example: Crane Yuzuriha + Kiki + Ophiuchus Shaina + Ursa Minor Xiaoling (can be switched out for Cygnus Hyoga) + Aquarius Camus + Sextans Luna.

This lineup is focused on dealing quick damage and attaining victory within the first three rounds of battle, or at the very least killing two enemies during the first turn. On the first round, Luna buffs Xiaoling making her act twice. If she has max crit, Yuzuriha will have two chances to launch extra attacks, and Xiaoling herself will remove at least two energy for the enemy. During the first three rounds, the enemy team will typically be without any energy to speak off. From the third round on when you have six energy, you can consider using the Luna + Camus combo as Camus' single-target skills have a great chance to Freeze. Camus has the option of controlling a key Saint on the enemy team, or to freeze a low-health enemy, so you can finish it off with AoE attacks. The lineup can be fine-tuned to your taste, for example by switching out Xiaoling for Hyoga, which makes missed controls easier to handle, or by exchanging Camus for Erda, thereby increasing damage output.

Counters

When facing Crane Yuzuriha, your first course of action should be to check what kind of lineup she is in. If the enemy team consists of Saints with skills costing 1 energy, they usually possess high damage and rely on Yuzuriha to crit; in this case, your best bet is to focus on downing her before she uses Crane Steps (Yuzuriha’s SPD isn’t all that high). If Shaina is in the enemy lineup, it might also be wise to control Yuzuriha, but Saints like Athena which increase enemy consumption are useless against her. Under normal circumstances, after Yuzuriha is downed, the other 1 energy cost Saints won’t deal nearly enough damage. If the enemy team has many Saints with high-cost skills, then you can begin by first dishing out damage as Yuzuriha isn’t that much of a threat in lineups that don’t use many skills.
